Golf Woven Into the Community

Magnolia Greens Golf Club features 27 holes of Tom Jackson-designed golf that wind through the community’s established landscape of mature trees, ponds, and residential areas. Rather than a single 18-hole layout, the course is arranged as three distinct nine-hole courses that can be combined to create different 18-hole experiences.

The golf course is an important part of Magnolia Greens’ setting, but it operates separately from the residential community. The club is open for public play, and membership is optional for residents who want more regular access and additional club benefits.

THE COURSE

27 Holes of Golf

Magnolia Greens Golf Club is a 27-hole public golf facility designed by Tom Jackson and woven throughout the Magnolia Greens community. Opened in 1998, the course has become an established part of the Wilmington-area golf landscape, offering daily-fee play alongside membership options.

Magnolia, Camellia, and Azalea make up the club's 27-hole layout, allowing the three nine-hole courses to be paired into different 18-hole combinations.

The course was designed by Tom Jackson, whose 27-hole layout moves through the residential community and the ponds, trees, and golf-course landscape that help define Magnolia Greens.

Tournament History

Magnolia Greens has served as a venue for PGA Tour and USGA qualifying events, giving the public course a competitive history beyond everyday member and daily-fee play.

Practice & Play

The club's practice facilities include a natural-grass driving range, while leagues, weekly play, tournaments, instruction, and other golf programming provide additional ways to use the course beyond a standard round.

PLAYING MAGNOLIA GREENS

Public Play or Membership

Magnolia Greens Golf Club is open to the public, so playing the course does not require living in Magnolia Greens or belonging to the club. Residents who simply want to play occasionally can book tee times like other daily-fee golfers, while membership provides another option for those who expect golf to be a regular part of their lifestyle.

Golf membership is also separate from homeownership in Magnolia Greens. Purchasing a home does not require joining the golf club, and club membership is not included as part of the community’s residential amenities or association dues.

Members can also choose to participate in Heritage Plus, an optional program that provides reciprocal golf privileges at participating Heritage properties. Availability, fees, and access vary by club, making it an added option for members who travel or simply want more places to play.

Golf Membership

The club’s primary membership option includes unlimited golf with members paying the applicable cart fee. For 2026, the initiation fee is $5,000, with monthly dues of $280 for a single membership or $460 for a family membership.

Young Professional

Golfers age 40 and younger can qualify for the club’s Young Professional membership. This single-only option carries a $1,500 initiation fee and $205 in monthly dues for 2026.

Member Benefits

Membership includes range balls, access to the member tee-time lottery, handicap service, club golf events, and a 20% discount on pro shop merchandise, along with the golf access included with membership.

More Ways to Play

Members can participate in club tournaments, leagues, weekly golf opportunities, and other programming throughout the year, creating options for both competitive and social play beyond booking an individual round.

Heritage Plus does not currently include reciprocal access to Cape Fear National or Compass Pointe Golf Club.
